My name is Walter Barcelos, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
I was living in Malaga (Spain) the last 18 years. Now I’m living in London and I have my headquarter here.
I am a Computer Engineer since 2005, trained at the University of Málaga (Spain).
I started practicing in a company dedicated to e-learning to support the programming of web pages.
After that, I got a job at a J2ME video game development company. My job there was making the porting of games to hundreds of phone models, while maintaining the quality and playability, based on memory limitations, processing limitations, etc..
This valuable experience led me to work in a big company in Madrid, doing the same work but on a larger scale, as the games were of higher quality and for multinational clients.
After some time in Madrid, the opportunity arose to start a business with some friends from college. Together we founded Alea Technology, in 2007. As a member of Alea, my main task was to manage projects related to mobility and design and develop complex web applications. Taking specifications directly with the customers was a very important aspect of the work, in order to estimate development costs, staffing, delivery dates, etc..
After more than 5 years in Alea, I decided to go on my own way and work independently. This way I can participate in projects related with mobility, WordPress and other technologies that I find interesting. As wpCasa official developer, I was discovering new goals and objectives with the development of plugins, templates, customization and installation of WordPress sites.
Now, from London, I can improve all my knowledge and offer better solutions to the wpCasa costumers, as I’m learning more technologies and opening my mind to the world.
